Where we are

The B&B "Itala" is located in Recanati, in the neighbourhood "Rione Mercato", Via Portorecanati n° 4 (see map), by the Church of San Francesco and far about 100 metres from the main square and main centre of the town. Nice and quite area whit sea view on the Conero and the nearby towns of Loreto, Castelfidardo, Osimo and Portorecanati.

Recanati is situated on a long and akwardly shaped hill at about 296 metres over the sea level, right in the middle of the valleys of the rivers Potenza and musone. The Adriatic Sea is situated near to the town at not even 10 Km.

For this reason the town of Recanati overlooks on the sea like a terrace, with panoramic views also on the Appennino, some among the most picturesque of the entire Marche region.

Being homeland of several notable men, such us the poet Giacomo Leopardi and the tenor Beniamino Gigli, Recanati maintains important monuments, palaces, churches, galleries, museum and libraries.

The characteristic mildness of the climate, togheter with the richness of its artistic and cultural heritage and the neighbourly hospitality of the townspeople, make of Recanati a pleasent holiday resort.

Just out of Recanati you can find the town of Loreto, religious destination of many pilgrims that come every year to visit the Saint House of the Virgin Mary, and the coast town of Portorecanati, that with its rocky and sandy beaches hosts every summer numerous tourists that are sea lovers.

The natural park of the Conero, with its dream beaches and hidden natural treasures, is far only 20 km from Recanati.
